Roger Henry is a Los Angeles based artist known the world over for his portraits. His works are in private collections in the United States, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, Argentina and Brazil. Over the past twenty years Roger has participated in group shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs and Scottsdale Arizona, and has had solo exhibitions in Los Angeles and Montoire, France. He has participated in the annual Black Rock City Art Festival “Burning Man” for the last six years, and in 2009 spent 5 months in the French countryside of the Loire Valley. During this time he won the International Lavardin Plein Air Juried Exhibition, taking place in Lavardin France while on break from painting a mural for the Marquise de Brantes.

Roger worked in Los Angeles in the 1990’s as an Art Director and Production Designer for the entertainment industry, leading to portrait commissions for Film and TV. His artwork can be seen on episodes of JOAN OF ARCADIA and he was commissioned to paint a portrait of Bruiser, Elle Woods Chihuahua in LEGALLY BLONDE 2. His work has also appeared in the film classic HOME FOR THE HOLLIDAYS, TV docudramas, and THE CHRISTOPHER LOWELL SHOW Showcasing Los Angeles Designers.

Art enthusiasts such as Paige Powell, an avid art collector who worked closely with Andy Warhol and curated shows for Jean-Michael Basquiat, are among Roger's many collectors. Prominent international clients of Roger's include the Marquis de Brante, Claire de Mailly Nesle, Charles Garnett, designer Michael Smith, and Peter Wetherill.

Roger has also been commissioned to do portraits by movers and shakers in the Hollywood film scene such as actor Eric Stoltz, film director Gus Van Sant, producer Alan Poul, and award winning screne writers Steve Levitt and Jim Herzfeld.

Though Roger has developed a steady clientele through word of mouth from collectors, demand for his work has grown considerably due to the showcasing of his talents through interviews with THE ANIMAL RADIO NETWORK, FORBES MAGAZINE, ARTS AND ANTIQUES MAGAZINE, ANGELENO MAGAZINE, HOUSE AND GARDEN, SET DECORE, and THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.
